Większość użytkowników Linuksa korzysta z open source'owego GIMPa, jednak nie da się zaprzeczyć, że Adobe Photoshop jest zdecydowanie najlepszym programem do profesjonalnej manipulacji grafiką. Adobe Photoshop w wersji CS3 (wymagającej na Windowsie SP2) niestety ciągle nie działa na Linuksie, ale wersja CS2 już tak.
Od 25 stycznia, czyli wydania nowej wersji wine (0.9.54), Adobe Photshop CS2 instaluje się na Linuksie bez najmniejszych problemów.
Adobe Photoshop CS2 na Kubuntu
Poniżej opisałem instalację na Kubuntu 7.10.
- Usuwamy nieaktualną wersję wine, wydając polecenie:
sudo apt-get remove wine
Usuwamy folder ".wine" z naszego folderu domowego. - Dodajemy nowe rezpozytoria, instalujemy aktualną wersję wine, wydając polecenia:
wget -q http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/387EE263.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/sources.list.d/gutsy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine - Wydajemy polecenie:
wine iexplore http://appdb.winehq.com/
Wine powinien zapytac się, czy chcemy zainstalować silnik Gecko (wymagany do wyświetlania HTML w wine), zgadzamy się klikając "install". - Instalujemy dla wine czcionkę używaną przez Photoshopa. Wpisujemy w wyszukiwarce "tahoma filetype:ttf", szukamy pliku "Tahoma.ttf" i wrzucamy go do "~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts".
- Wkładamy płytkę instalacyjną Photoshopa, klikamy prawym przyciskiem myszki na "Setup.exe" i wybieramy opcję "Uruchom w programie Wine Windows Emulator". Instalacja przebiegnie bez problemów.
- W menu systemowym szukamy Photoshopa i uruchamiamy go. Gotowe!

In my capacity of the candidate for the post of the secretary general it would be improper to comment on any of the decisions of the Ministers or screen doors their deputies and especially to give them advice on the procedure to follow. However having a 15 year-long personal experience with the Council of Europe, if I may, beyond this add, that I fully share the spirit and the targets of the Juncker-report on how to confirm the Council of Europe’s role in order to become door hardware a more effective partner in building Europe. I personally particularly welcomed his recommendation on the required profile of the future candidates for the post of the Secretary General, who should be „leading political figures, whose past work for democratic security has already given them a high and positive profile”. Apparently Prime Minister Juncker’s recommendations – and the subsequent ministerial decision on their implementation – have had a considerable positive effect: I have to compete with excellent candidates garden gates who deserve all my personal and professional respect, and I feel really honoured to be a part of this contest. I also believe that the Ministers and their deputies are fully entitled to form an opinion on the candidates.
